We had a very good excuse to visit Paris this month. Maison & Objet had been on our wish list for some years and this time we made sure we would not miss it. A perfect reason to visit suppliers that we have been working with for a long time, find newbies to possibly collaborate with. More on our very favorites will soon be up on the blog.
This trip also gave us the possibility to visit influential Parisian places, inspirational stores and gastronomic restaurants. We re-visited some of the top tips from our Paris Escape list and also discovered some new gems.
Now that temperatures are souring in the Middle East, we have started to pack our bags to escape the heat. Another long summer holiday is on our door step, another climate waiting for us back home.
Where we have been wearing the same very light gear the last few weeks, we will need to think in shoes, long pants and sweaters again. With our new sneakers from Alex & Alexa are ready to travel. Although Dutch summers can be beautifully warm, there is always the chance of some chilly days with rain. And we love it!
During our Spring break we had the chance to go on a tropical adventure with the family. For this exciting experience I had teamed up with Destination Zanzibar and FlyDubai to make this all possible. Zanzibar had been high on my travel wish list for a long time as this lush and beachy corner of the world has all the right ingredients for us as a family.
With FlyDubai it is just a six hour direct flight from Dubai. Where my boys were enjoying hours of great entertainment on a screen, we sat back and relaxed with a magazine and a drink. There is no better way to start your holiday.
We are excited to be back at the most spectacular show of the season. The Milan Design Week so far has been impressive and fun.
This year we are happy to see Jotun back in the Ventura Lambrate design district. Curated by Katrin Greiling the exposition ‘Everything is connected’ brings together talents of the Norwegian design and craft scene to tell the story of the country’s creative presence. This all against the backdrop of Jotun’s newest colors that will set the trend for this year. Norwegian Wood, Blue River and Nordic Breeze have been exclusively designed for Milan Design Week.
