Remember the post about the three girls and their whimsical wonderland?
We were lucky to also create a space for them to play, read and chill. This space was empty with some cool yet challenging characteristics like a full glass window wall and a window sill size extra large.
Another challenge was that this playroom is for three girls of different ages and obviously we wanted to design something that would fulfill three dreams.
It’s all in the detail!
A new item on the blog the coming weeks were guests will share their favorite interior details. From a rug to a light, to storage bags….it’s all in the detail to finish your interior and to change the vibe.
A rug will make the room more cosy and enjoyable, giving the kids a place to sit on, play on or chill out on. We asked our regular Guest on the Blog contributor Geraldine from Studio Bandit who we love for het simple and sophisticated style to share her top 5 with us.
Even though we do our kids room homework, it’s refreshing to ask a guest because some of these rugs are new to us.
Moving house also meant saying goodbye to the playroom that has been quite a corner stone in our house and on this blog.
The great thing about a (new) playroom is that you can change it according to the preferences of your children. The room can grow up as they do. With only a few little changes, you can come a long way.
In our case we were lucky with some great timing since IKEA approached us to team up.
A new season, a new installation and it was a great one! A room for two little sisters who will be sharing a room. And we had the honor to take care of the make over.
It was not so much the climate of Dubai that gave us the inspiration for the styling, it was the fresh and sunny character of the girls that made us decide to go on a little tropical adventure.
We started this job by painting the walls with skylight white from Jotun. This fairly long and narrow room needed the right furniture to keep it airy. Since one of the four walls is all windows, we had only three walls left to use for storage, shelving and furniture. And that is why our eye fell on the two tall four poster beds from Incy Interiors. Dreamy yet modern to also ensure the girls can sleep in them for the years to come. The hight of the beds allows the natural light to come in and keep the room sunny.
