Ready, set, action!
We were so excited and honored to do our first styling job of a video shoot. We were asked to take care of the styling for the setting of the online campagne for the launch of Jotun’s Wonderwall and Royal Velvet paint range starring beauty blogger @raniafawazz.
Jotun is a brand that we often work with (and for). Yet this being a video shoot did make things a bit more thrilling then usual. For weeks our mind was set on getting the perfect items and props together.
The set was in an empty villa somewhere in Dubai where we were asked to style four rooms. With the Jotun Brand in the back of our heads, we strived to create a setting that was a good mix between their Nordic style and our Live Loud signature. A warm and structured wall combined with some beautiful furniture and accessories became the backdrop for the model.
Changing seasons always makes our stylist heart a little restless as this is the perfect moment for change. We were very curious about some of the colors on Jotuns new color chart and that in combination with being totally ready for something different made us decide to take a little gamble.
The good thing about creating a statement wall in your home is that it is a big effect in very little time. This wall only took one can of paint and four hours to complete including the styling. The proof is in the video. Bye bye white walls, hello dusty red!
Colors are one of the most inspirational elements in interior styling. An therefore the launch of new colors is something that excites us. Take for instance the colors that Jotun launched during the Milan Design week. Their color range Structure brought back the focus on creating tranquil spaces with calming colors.
And that was so spot on that we fell in love with all the earthy tones in paint and design. We left monochrome for what it was and embraced this new trend with both arms.
Does any of you have some good new years resolutions?
Our list is all about eat cleaner, sleep earlier, spend more time with the kids and our friends. It is very similar to resolutions of last year so we better get on it!
For our home we also have some resolutions since there is still a list of unfinished projects, corners with unattended clutter and spaces that can use some undivided attention.
