Two boys, one room…. that is something we can relate to. We had so much fun designing the space for these little boys. Creating a stylish space enjoyable for sleeping, chilling and having fun with friends. We made comfort one of our top priorities for the design of this room.
The two identical Kalon Studio beds on one side of the room are complemented with bedding in contrasting colors. We still can’t get enough of the teal blue, green and mustard combo… Can you?
Teal blue is in any case a theme color for this room. The opposite wall has been painted with Jotun Fusion 5362, speaking of statement walls. On top of that, we chose a teal blue Bemz sofa cover which we think is such a fantastic way to upgrade your IKEA sofa to reflect your own personal style. This area has ‘chilling’ written all over it.
A product that was on our wish list and is now decorating the wall behind the couch is the Anne Claire Petit big lobster. The color, the craftsmanship, the material… I guess a new favorite.
A combination of Piet Hein Eek design by IKEA and a white round table gives the boys space to be creative. Whatever they do in this room, we just know that there will be many laughs and big stories.
A collaborative shoot is one of our own styling initiatives to highlight products and brands we love. It allows us to be innovative and creative guided by our own enthusiasm and Dutch spontaneity. We believe in the strength of combining different brands, products and players, from well known companies to upcoming creatives.
The starting point for this collaborative shoot was this gorgeous Krethaus Nido bed. The combination of natural alder wood, the high headboard and the clever boxes at the end make it a perfect bed for growing kids. The bed can be used for toddlers, and when removing the boxes, its perfect for bigger kids.
After the last two settings, a nursery and a girls’ room, we wanted to portray a gender neutral setting which could be an inspiration for a shared room.
By balancing out the color pallet and bringing in playful elements, it can work both ways making it really playful and unique.
A new room, a new vibe, a teenager and lots of fun products. You cannot make us happier by letting us play around with these ingredients.
This girls room required a dose of pink so we decided to partially paint the wall of the reading area. We always try to be creative and innovative in every project we undertake, especially with paint. Jotun’s Sunset Brown gives the room warmth and is a tone that will not easily bore. We decorated this corner with a Byron Bay hanging chair and some magical lights by Zoe Rumeau.
