Even though we live in a place where it is always summer, a summer holiday for us means a break from the heat, quality time with family and friends and filling our lungs with fresh air. The whole Live Loud Girl team is lucky to have the chance to travel back to Europe for all of the above reasons. We will spread out to come back to the office rejuvenated, rested and ready to work on the projects that are already lined up for the second half of the year.
Starting this summer with sort of a big deal. We were approached by ZARA to shoot for their new SPRING SUMMER 18 campaign – The Sun and Sand editorial.
Key elements in the briefing were wild, natural and a summer environment with details like stone, wood and sand. My boys are wearing the Zara boys new collection which with their terracotta shades and soft cotton and linen materials are perfect for outdoor summer adventures.
A collaborative shoot is one of our own styling initiatives to highlight products and brands we love. It allows us to be innovative and creative guided by our own enthusiasm and Dutch spontaneity. We believe in the strength of combining different brands, products and players, from well known companies to upcoming creatives.
The starting point for this collaborative shoot was this gorgeous Krethaus Nido bed. The combination of natural alder wood, the high headboard and the clever boxes at the end make it a perfect bed for growing kids. The bed can be used for toddlers, and when removing the boxes, its perfect for bigger kids.
After the last two settings, a nursery and a girls’ room, we wanted to portray a gender neutral setting which could be an inspiration for a shared room.
By balancing out the color pallet and bringing in playful elements, it can work both ways making it really playful and unique.
If someone has been on our ‘inspirator-to-must-check-before-we-start-the-day’ list for a long time it is the blogger, master of the shelfies and creative that we know as ChloeUberkid
With her stunning photography this mother of five gives us a chance to get a peek into her daily life with her fun filled home and her gorgeous kids. Not only the imagery makes us smile, we love her captions which are so witty and relatable.
When we asked her to be our Guest on the Blog, she had literally just bought a new house. She thought she would be settled in 48 hours, we (all of us experiences nomads) thought it would take a bit longer… Nevertheless, her new home is amazing and all set up now so that Chloe can give us an exclusive look around. We asked her about her favorite room in the house and her go-to brands and shops that allow her to style like no one else.
