Over these past weeks of summer holiday I have literally seen my kids grow. Jack keeps mentioning that he is much taller then when we left Dubai so we were all excited to start measuring with the new Snug. Studio growth chart. For them the numbers count, for me the fabulous grid design.
It will be Jack’s birthday tomorrow and that not only means that we are having a party, it means that I have a five year old son! All cliches are true… time flies when you are having fun and my boy now wants to have a cool party for his cool friends and I don’t say ‘no’ to that.
I’m not much of the theme-party-person. For occasions like this, I will go for color & creativity, just letting the kids be cool as they are but surrounding them with festive and fun items.
I came across so many fun goodies during my search that I just had to share some of them with you. Let’s party like its 2015 my sweet little…uhm… cool Jack!
Since we do so many kids rooms, see so many great products and are constantly inspired to do more, I desperately wanted to work our magic but this time at home. Jack’s room had been on the to-do list for a long time since I felt it wasn’t complete.
So when Jotun offered us to try their matt paint of the new My Home collection, we immediately grabbed our chance. Before we knew it, we were saying goodbye to the navy wall and welcomed a very loved monochrome combo.
Jack’s room ended up as a complete mix of styles. Black and white, old and new, animals and super heroes. It’s all there. Fact is, we couldn’t make a choice and in the end we love the combination of all of it. Important is to keep the rest pretty clean and that’s the reason why I love good storage. An old treasure chest or a soft and gorgeous storage bag, even a cute back pack can help to store some small toys!
