We love it when we walk out of one of our rooms, leaving behind a happy kid. A seven year old boy this time who was very content with his new place to sleep.
However, it does require time, inspiration, many trips to many different shops and plenty of online shopping before we reach that stage. We just want to take you back to show how we get from moodboard to final room.
Once we have met the little dweller and have seen the room, we often immediately have an idea of what we want to do. In this case, we wanted to work on something solid with touches of nature with a wild edge. This space is a young boys domain, and it will need to stay cool for the coming years.
Moving house also meant saying goodbye to the playroom that has been quite a corner stone in our house and on this blog.
The great thing about a (new) playroom is that you can change it according to the preferences of your children. The room can grow up as they do. With only a few little changes, you can come a long way.
In our case we were lucky with some great timing since IKEA approached us to team up.
This summer was all about change for our blog friend Geraldine.
You might already know her from the successful guest on the blog post last year.
She first moved house. Even though this time around it is a completely different space, she has pulled it off again. A monochrome look! Black, white and birch are the colors that dominate. And that, especially in combination with the classic elements, like the black stone fire place and the generous amount of light, is her signature style: Classic Simplicity!
As if moving house isn’t busy enough, she also launched her new webshop: Studio Bandit where she now sells her new own label, Just Bo.
If Live Loud Girl were to have an office Down Under, we definitely would like Lennyandme to be part of the team. This German girl, currently a resident of Melbourne, is definitely a styling talent that truly understands the style that we love.
Her Instagram photos are clean with pops of color and funky elements. And that is how we ‘met’ her on the magical world of Instagram. We follow every pic she posts.
