STYLING PROJECT – NURSERY

For us, styling a nursery is always a special project. Not only because it will be the first room for a newborn, it is also a place where parents spend time bonding with their baby making them memorable in style and design.

This particular room is one of the five rooms we were asked to design for a beautiful villa on Zaya Nurai Island. A dream project in size, creativity and variety allowing us to reflect the true Live Loud Girl style.

We started off with painting the walls in Jotuns Artist Clay. A warm grey shade that goes very well with many other colors and the concrete floor. A tone-on-tone custom made cabinet against the wall keeps it all very subtle and elegant.

Again this project enabled us to work with items that have been high on our wish list like this Kalon Studio Caravan crib. So beautifully made, very versatile and as a added bonus, it converts into a bed. Products like these fit into our philosophy of investing in design pieces that will go a long way.

We chose many different textiles and materials to play around with. On the floor you can find the Sierra Weave, a classic and timeless rug. Linen was brought in for the bedding, curtains and the canopy, all from Numero 74.
Seagrass storage and changing baskets bring in some texture, just like the gorgeous ratan chair. Again, a piece of furniture worth buying as it’s timeless and beautiful to look at.

The Zoe Rumeau Pineapple light and the pop-of-color mouse stool bring some colour and fun to the room to make the feel of the nursery a bit more edgy.
