Even with the best intentions, any holiday I go on ends up being an inspirational trip on which I need to make notes and photo’s of the beautiful interiors and exteriors I come across. Luckily my dear husband knows me well enough to just let me go crazy for a few minutes when we walk in to a stunning space. Paris just happens to be one of those cities that seems to have nothing other then that.

Thanks to Parisian mademoiselles Anne-Sophie and Danielle, I arrived in Paris fully charged with a long list of go-to places ranging from best croissant bakery, most beautiful parks to most fancy shops. And I can tell you, I tried my very best to do everything on the list. The thing with Paris is that almost every place is good. And if it is not the food or the interior that makes you rave, it is the facades and balconies. One must do for sure is to always look up!

We stayed in the gorgeous boutique Hotel Bachaumont. Even though the location in my favourite neighbourhood Le Marais was perfect for us to walk out and explore, it was difficult to get out of bed. The stylish Art Deco-inspired interior and view could have kept me indoors for days. The room was outfitted in a cool shade of  teal and furnished with marble and wood desks, with finishing touch the dreamy upholstered the headboard

Our diet during the weekend was based on pastries and French food, all flushed down with coffee, wine and an occasional Badoit.
For breakfast we loved Restaurant Marcelle. They have the perfect mix of interior, croissants and the smell of coffee. Another highlight was lunch at Pink Mama. The interior made me freak out (a little) which makes it an absolute go to place for me. For a romantic diner with a view make a reservation at Les Ombres. If you wanna indulge yourself with good food and sintering interiors try L’Alcazar and Septime

If you want to get active, the Bike About Tours are fun to do. Cycling your way around the city is a great way to see a lot. If you want to be lazy and see the city from above, I had a blast in the ferris wheel of Jardin Des Tuileries.  Or head to Palais Royal and take pictures at Colonnes de Buren. Walk in the park, sincerely a beautiful place.

Shops that made my heart jump a beat are MOna MArket (gorgeous), Maison Sarah Lavoine (amazing), Serendipity and the Smallable Store where we always source a lot for our installations.

When back to your hotel, endulge for the best cocktail in town prohibition style in Experimental Cocktail Club 37 rue Saint Sauveur Paris 2

As my feet are still recovering from the endless walks, my body will unfortunately have to get used to a less extravagant meal plan as I am not French…

But Paris, I will be back – very soon I hope!
