GUEST ON THE BLOG – TESSA HOP AND HER HOME

IMG_2249

We came across Tessa Hop on Instagram and immediately fell in love with her style. Tessa’s photo’s are so serene and present some beautiful combinations of colors, materials and styles. Her house makes us want to re-do ours. And that is why we asked her if she wanted to be our Guest on the Blog to share some of these amazing photo’s with us and luckily she said yes.

Tessa lives in a self designed sustainable and energy nutral house with her husband and three boys. After successfully finishing Art School, she decided to stay home to raise her three boys. The choice to be with Mees (11), Polle (8) and Guus (5) still makes her happy every day.

Her passion is to take care of the interior of this home that was created on the back of an envelope. The space, rooms and natural light is exactly how they wanted it. Tessa is always on the look out for special items for their home and for the boys, with a deep love for vintage.

Tessa is a big fan of bringing green inside. Her green comes from their own garden where she has a vegetable patch and green-house to grow her own food. The boys love the process of planting a seed and finding the produce on their plate.

Tessa’s stunning home, her style and her photography are extremely inspiring. This is an account worth following.

I am wondering what sort of paint she used on her floors? Was it an oil based marine paint? We are thinking about doing something like this in our rental property. But I would love to know if it is strong enough to not get all scuffed and nicked up! Thanks so much!

Hi there Kim, thanks for getting in touch. Tessa was a guest on the blog so I would suggest you get in touch with her regarding the paint she used. Good to hear you are making your rental house your home. xx
