You gotta love a good wall paper. Wall paper can make a fantastic statement wall therefore we often propose it in designs we make for our clients to compliment paint.
When Jimmy Cricket approached us again to take care of the styling for the launch of her new jungle design, we could not wait to get started. We have worked with Jimmy Cricket before for her collaboration with Pax and Hart for the One Fun Day and Bunny wall paper. Her latest jungle design is right up our street. As a bonus she mentioned the set up would need to be vibrant, colorful with lots of lush greens… Hey! That’s just how we like it!
It is not only our wall paper addiction that makes us want to constantly spice up the walls in the house, there are just so many fantastic designs out there that we just can not help ourselves and want to bring out the glue as often as possible.
The palm leaf wall paper in the boys room had to step aside for a new design from one of our wall paper friends These Walls. Remember the tiger design from the Jungalow Style shoot? And the Dots from the dreamy girls room? Well now These Walls has launched a fantastic new collection with the blue jungle being our absolute favorite.
We are excited to be back at the most spectacular show of the season. The Milan Design Week so far has been impressive and fun.
This year we are happy to see Jotun back in the Ventura Lambrate design district. Curated by Katrin Greiling the exposition ‘Everything is connected’ brings together talents of the Norwegian design and craft scene to tell the story of the country’s creative presence. This all against the backdrop of Jotun’s newest colors that will set the trend for this year. Norwegian Wood, Blue River and Nordic Breeze have been exclusively designed for Milan Design Week.
Changing seasons always makes our stylist heart a little restless as this is the perfect moment for change. We were very curious about some of the colors on Jotuns new color chart and that in combination with being totally ready for something different made us decide to take a little gamble.
The good thing about creating a statement wall in your home is that it is a big effect in very little time. This wall only took one can of paint and four hours to complete including the styling. The proof is in the video. Bye bye white walls, hello dusty red!
