ROOMSTYLING: PARTY HEARTY GIRLS ROOM – BOYS ROOM

We always get excited about installations. That is the most rewarding part of our jobs. To see happy dwellers enter their new room for the first time is quite a bit thing for us . Especially when they are old enough to have an opinion…

In our latest installation we were asked to take care of the styling of a girls and a boys room. Two different genders, ages and styles yet all under one roof. A fun adventure in working with some amazing new products and a few golden oldies.

We started with a color scheme for the boys room. For a 7  year old we definitely wanted it to be a space where he can grow into so we went for some bold complimentary colors.
On his wish list was a bunk bed and we were able to grant him that one with a beautiful and timeless Flexa bed.  And he happened to be a grid fan… High five to that as we have no problems with grid bedding from Cats and Boys and some dito wall paper from Ferm Living.
The Jotun foresty green gives the room a more mature feel yet the unfinished tough of the top keeps it playful and fun.
Time now for some ‘Loud’ elements. The yellow Flexa shelving really freshens up that mature green, just like the Banana poster from The Poster Club. And how about the orange stool from Ikea? Such funky elements for a boy this age.

For the girls room we had no choice then to use pink. We did however choose a warm blood orangy color by Jotun which is girly yet also a little more adaptable to use with other colors. And to separate the sleeping and chilling corners of the room, we decided to color one wall only half way. In this corner of the room we chose to hang a Byron Bay hanging chair from Tribe. We know you have seen it before, remember our Dip Dye teen room? It is such an iconic piece that will be used for years and years!
We never shy away from a good book shelfie as you might know and this time we used some gorgeous styling elements like the Pink Giraffe & Unicorn Finger Puppets by Party Camel Velveteen Babies Garland, the set of Mikanu pears and the Fiona Walker animal heads via Tribe.
On the opposite wall we went for some good old wall dots from Urban Walls and a Pax and Hart poster via Bysomethingels complimented by the rainbow pillow on the bed

MAISON SAADAH * LIVE LOUD GIRL

We are working on a secret project that we want to share with you. Just keep in between us, don’t tell anyone just yet…

Since a very long time we have been big fans of Beni Ourain rugs. These rugs have originally been created by Berber people in order to keep them warm in the Atlas Mountains. Nowadays they are handwoven in the exact the same way, from untreated wool. That’s why every rug is unique and special.
On our blog you might have seen these rugs in our installations. That is how we met the lovely Maison Saadah and started working together.

COLLABORATIVE SHOOT: COTTON CANDY SKIES

Organising a collaborative shoot requires time and creativity. Of the first one we have too little, of the second one too much. Yet we managed to clear our agendas to try and create a setting that is original, inventive and inspirational. With no boundaries, no restrictions, ourselves as our client, a beautiful collection of small business brands and an empty garage as our studio, our imagination was set free.
