Working with Pax and Hart is a dream job. We have been a fan of her work since forever. We have used her art in our own homes, in photo shoots and interior styling projects as they are so versatile and funky.
Last year we had the chance to actually work for this talented lady from Down Under. We were asked to create a concept and style the photoshoot of her new prints that she wanted to present in a homey environment with a vintage yet playful feel.
I know we are not the only ones out there with a stationary fetish. Although we do nearly everything digitally, we often nostalgically look back on the days when we were still carrying around an agenda and a note book. And since those moments are rare, we want it to be gorgeous.
We came across the Swedish design brand Mini Empire. With a range of some beautifully illustrated paper ware, they made our heart skip a beat. Their products are very refined, detailed yet with a humorous and edgy feel so that they work for styling nurseries, kids rooms and for the adults too.
Lucky for all of us they do more then paper ware alone. Mini Empire features a range of playful toys, quirky textile and funky kitchen ware.
A small, quick update for your kids room can be done in a few minutes. I changed just a few touches in the boys room for a fresh new look. I move a few things around, and added only one new item, the Animal poster.
It is almost unfair to say we have updated our play room since this room is the most metamorphosed space in the house. And it has always been. Remember how we were all about triangles in the old house with first a pop of yellow and later in combination with vintage? And in the new house we have changed around a few things in less than a year like bringing in the lounger for the kids to chill and read on after school.
