STYLING PROJECT – TEENAGE GIRLSROOM

A new room, a new vibe, a teenager and lots of fun products. You cannot make us happier by letting us play around with these ingredients.

This girls room required a dose of pink so we decided to partially paint the wall of the reading area. We always try to be creative and innovative in every project we undertake, especially with paint. Jotun’s Sunset Brown gives the room warmth and is a tone that will not easily bore. We decorated this corner with a Byron Bay hanging chair and some magical lights by Zoe Rumeau.

As you know from us, storage is a key item and in this room we placed the storage against the wall. A perfect display for books and treasures.
With so many amazing prints out there, it is always fun to choose the right combination. Prints are easy to play around with and enables you to change the vibe of the room. It is such an easy way to let the room speak for the person occupying it. In this case, the You Are Pretty poster was a must!

Excited to announce we are working with an amazing new brand, Bemz! They create hundreds of custom design covers in high end fabrics to update your IKEA sofa. They come in the most beautiful materials and colours to reflect your own personal style. The teal blue has been one of our recent favourites and it really adds a more elegant feel to the space. The combination with the neutral rug and linen cushion makes you want to curl up and hang out with friends.

On the opposite wall, where the bed is, we used white exposed brick wall paper. This structure brings a metropolitan vibe, softened by beautiful linen bedding by Bed and Philosophy. We couldn’t resist adding a mustard pillow…

The Rozenkelim rug gives the room a classic touch and the right amount of structure. One of our design staples!

And how do you like our newest member of the zoo family? This seagrass Donkey makes a perfect pair with our fav flamingo.

All these items have allowed us to create this fun room for a lovely teenage girl. A room that is now ready for some good laughs and big chills.

STYLING PROJECT – TWIN NURSERY

Designing a nursery for a baby girl is always gratifying, designing a nursery for twin girl is exceptionally enjoyable. Especially when the client requests that she wants something atypical, different and not so pink yet simple.

Starting from scratch is also a bonus so we began with the walls. Since we had one large uninterrupted wall, we could not resist to go for the Bien Fait wall paper again. This brings in an instant wow-effect and also is perfect for growing kids. It will remain cool for such a long, long time so worth the investment!

On this wall we wanted to keep it simple. Just a pop of color with some yellow shelves and two Muuto wall hooks.

Against the wall we placed a large table which was already in the room, we only gave it a make over with some new legs and a beautiful blush color. This table will function as a changing table for now, hence the gorgeous changing basket. We are big fans of (re)using furniture that can play a role in the room for the years to come.

The opposite wall was painted in the warm and subtle Jotun Soft Grey to hopefully have these girls sleeping through the night in no time. Their timeless matching Oeuf NYC cots and dreamy accessories like the gorgeous Swan really give this side of the room a calmer vibe.

Speaking of accessories, these chairs are a discovery from our trip to Maison & Objet in Paris. It was love at first sight for us with this ecological children’s furniture by EcoBirdy. The soft design with the knowledge that it is made from up-cycled materials is perfect for this next generation. The perfect add on in this atypical yet sweet and elegant twin girls nursery.

BEDROOM STYLING – BRING IN SOME COLOR

Starting off with palm leaf wall paper is always a good idea. Cole & Son has several palm leaves and as we wanted to keep the design for this girlsroom relatively clean, yet colorfull we chose for the single leaf.

The blue velvet sofa is such an iconic item in the room. The rich color and fabric together with the simple design make us want to chill here all day long. And it goes extremely well with the Maison Saadah * Live Loud Girl rug that we proudly brought in. Rugs always bring in some nice structure and keep little feet warm.

PLAYROOM STYLING – JUST ANOTHER DAY AT THE ZOO

“Just another day at the zoo” is what we would like people to think when they walk into our latest playroom installation. Not because the two little girls that this playroom is for are behaving like monkeys but because it is full of exotic animals in all sorts, shapes and sizes.

When we started working on this project, we knew for sure that we wanted to use the Nofred Tucan wallpaper. This bold print is so fun and flirtatious and therefore just perfect for a playroom. The finishing touches for this wall are the soft toned Aro for Kids embroidery and the funky LEGO neon light. Game on for this statement wall!
