What better way to out 2015 with a bang! A gorgeous girlsroom styling project where we where challenged to add some dreamy drama to pastel tones and create a fairytale setting.
By now, you might have become familiar with our custom to start of with a good white base and we reached out to a bucket of Jotuns skylight white again. The perfect way to start a room that has natural light that needs to be enhanced. After this important first step we started adding a range of pastel colors and some soft, warm tones of grey and gold.
This little girl will definitely not sleep in just a bed. Her bed became the eye catcher of the room when we brought in the mexican hand made headboard. We love the way the dramatic headboard goes beautifully with the soft tones and delicate pattern of the Scallop Dots wallpaper. Don’t you just love the feathery feel of it?
A new season, a new installation and it was a great one! A room for two little sisters who will be sharing a room. And we had the honor to take care of the make over.
It was not so much the climate of Dubai that gave us the inspiration for the styling, it was the fresh and sunny character of the girls that made us decide to go on a little tropical adventure.
We started this job by painting the walls with skylight white from Jotun. This fairly long and narrow room needed the right furniture to keep it airy. Since one of the four walls is all windows, we had only three walls left to use for storage, shelving and furniture. And that is why our eye fell on the two tall four poster beds from Incy Interiors. Dreamy yet modern to also ensure the girls can sleep in them for the years to come. The hight of the beds allows the natural light to come in and keep the room sunny.
After having sharing some moodboards with us, working hard on the launch of her mini shop and managing two adorable kids, this Insta – inspirator is our latest Guest On The Blog and we are proud of it!
For us she is the queen of styling without it being styled: the good kind of messy with beautiful products. We just love this style.
We finished this spring season with a big bang, also known as the dreamy teenage girls room. A project that exited us so much that we could not wait to share it.
We always start with deciding on a color pallet. A ‘teen girls room’ is definitely not the same thing as a ‘girls room’ so we decided to combine a variation of soft blue and mint tones with white, naturals, black and gold.
