Buongiorno from Milan!
Live Loud Girl is on tour this week and living a dream by visiting the largest and most inspirational design fair: the Salone del Mobile.
We will be making quite some miles here to see as much as possible and want to share our findings with you. Every day we will cover a trend that we spotted and loved which you will probably come across again in some of our up coming projects.
It is always nice when people get in touch with us just to say ‘hi’. Especially when they are creative entrepreneurs with beautiful products.
Mum and Dad Factory is a French company founded by architects. The two ladies started out with a beautiful and elegant cot that is less bulky then the standard baby bed. Soft curved corners and durable European wood make this a wannahave on my ‘if I would ever have a baby again’ list.
Details can really make or break a piece of furniture, thats why we always try to refine every element of the items we work with. We love it when someone says: “look at those legs!”, not referring to mine but to the customised bed legs for example. Its all about the details.
As we’re quite a regular at our local IKEA, both for our styling projects and for our own home, a company like SuperFront is a phenomenal find. This clever Swedish company makes legs, handles, fronts and tops for some of IKEA’s best known items. The result: creating affordable yet beautifully customised furniture. SuperFront works with a beautiful line of colors and exclusive materials such as brass, copper, marble, birch and leather… need to mention those are some of our favorites?
Moving house also meant saying goodbye to the playroom that has been quite a corner stone in our house and on this blog.
The great thing about a (new) playroom is that you can change it according to the preferences of your children. The room can grow up as they do. With only a few little changes, you can come a long way.
In our case we were lucky with some great timing since IKEA approached us to team up.
